Using Rodtech's power sweeping equipment to be able to give our customers the best possible clean. When power sweeping, the brush head expands through centrifugal force to suit the flue (chimney) that we are sweeping. It also centres itself. Due to the way the heads have been designed, it is actually the sides of the strands that sweep the flue (chimney) causing less damage than incorrectly choosing a traditional brush head to sweep a flue (chimney).

There is an added advantage that using the speed of the drill can stiffen and soften the sweeping action. So if you are doing an older style chimney then you would use a low speed (softer) however if you are doing a heavily built up clay/steel flue then you can up the speed giving you unbelievable cleaning action.

FLUE INSPECTION

Rodtech Camera Inspection System to inspect chimneys and flues.

With this system, I can check the entire length of your chimney or flue system to a high level of detail. This allows me to check for damage and blockages inside your chimney or flue, and diagnose any issues you may have.

Chimney inspection using Rodtech also allows me to view the condition of a chimney to decide whether chimney liners can be installed.

I can also take photographs or videos inside the chimney or flue for insurance or other recording purposes (ie for proof that the chimney is damaged or poorly constructed).

GUTTERING

Keeping your gutters free from debris that may collect all year round but particularly in the winter months is an important part in defending your home, against damp penetration and gutter blockages.

Proper maintenance will stop damp and decay leading to expensive repair bills because if your gutters do become blocked this may lead to irregular water flow. From this it is advisable that a regular maintenance routine is followed, including an annual gutter inspection.
